Iceland

A body of works recording and responding to a research trip to Iceland.
Focusing on the notion of a landscape in perpetual flux, the works are made as recordings of a particular moment of change or destruction instigated by immense geological pressure present beneath the earth’s surface.

The Iceland works were developed during a studio collaboration with artist Katy Cole and were shown at ‘And just as quickly it was gone…’ an open studio ‘research lab’ at The NewBridge Project Annexe. Selected works from this series have also been shown at Arthouses Festival, Whitley Bay and group exhibitions Temporary Worlds at Empty Shop, Durham and Another Landscape at The Shed, Haltwhistle.
