Tactile Fantasy

“Deep shadows and darkness are essential, because they dim the sharpness of vision, make depth and distance ambiguous, and invite unconscious peripheral vision and tactile fantasy”
- Juhani Pallasmaa, The Eyes of the Skin: Architecture and the Senses

Tactile Fantasy is a series of installation works combining 35mm mix media collage slides with large-scale paper sculptures, all treated in a different manner to alter their surface appearance.
The first edition was shown at the Newcastle Fine Art Degree show and the second at Shoreditch Town Hall, London for the Newcastle Graduate Degree Show in June 2011 and July 2011 respectively.
